Memery Community Guidelines

Our goal at Memery is to foster a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all users. By using Memery, you agree to follow these guidelines, which supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are committed to enforcing these rules through both automated and human moderation to keep our community welcoming and secure.

Respect Each Other

• Be Kind and Considerate: Treat everyone with respect and kindness. Bullying, harassment, and hate speech are not allowed, either in posts or interactions with others.

• No Discrimination: We do not tolerate any form of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristic. Hateful content targeting any group or individual is forbidden.

• Avoid Sensitive Topics: Do not deliberately post content that is likely to be inflammatory or offensive. Content that provokes extreme negative reactions or is in poor taste may be removed to keep the community safe and respectful.

Prohibited Content

To maintain a safe environment, the following types of content and behavior are strictly prohibited on Memery. If you encounter any of these, please report it so we can review and take appropriate action:

• Nudity & Sexual Content: No sexually explicit images or videos. Any sexual content involving minors (under 18) or non-consensual acts is strictly forbidden and will be reported to law enforcement.

• Violence or Gore: No graphic violence, gore, or content that promotes or glorifies violent acts, abuse, or criminal exploitation. Content that encourages harm to others or violent behavior is not allowed.

• Hate Speech & Symbols: Absolutely no use of hate symbols, slurs, or extremist imagery (e.g. swastikas, Nazi salutes) and no posts that attack or glorify hatred against any group. Memery forbids any content that incites hatred or prejudice.

• False Information: Do not spread misinformation or intentionally false content. Misleading claims, hoaxes, or fake information that can misinform or harm others are prohibited.

• Bullying & Harassment: Any form of bullying, sustained harassment, or personal threats towards another user is not allowed. This includes stalking, name-calling, intimidation, or encouraging others to target someone.

• Scams & Fraud: Do not attempt to deceive or defraud users. Content intended for phishing, impersonation for financial gain, pyramid schemes, or any other fraudulent schemes will be removed.

• Unhealthy Body Image Content: Do not post content that glorifies or encourages eating disorders or other dangerously unhealthy behaviors related to body image. Memery does not allow content that promotes self-harmful dieting or body shaming.

• Self-Harm or Suicide: Content that encourages or glorifies suicide, self-harm, or dangerous behaviors is not permitted. We want to support our users’ well-being – do not post material that could encourage someone to harm themselves.

This list is not exhaustive. Memery reserves the right to remove any content that we find harmful, offensive, or otherwise objectionable, even if it isn’t explicitly mentioned above. We will act in good faith to keep the platform safe, and content violating the spirit of these guidelines may be taken down at our discretion.

Content Moderation

We use a combination of automated systems, community tools, and human oversight to enforce these guidelines. Memery’s moderation measures include the following:

• Automated Detection: Content you create or upload is automatically scanned. If it violates our guidelines, it may be blocked or removed before posting. Our systems help filter out explicit, violent, or other disallowed material instantly.

• User Reporting: If you see something that violates these rules, you can report the content or the user. Once you report a post, it will be hidden from your feed, and our team will review it promptly. If we confirm a violation, the content will be removed and the offending user will be warned or otherwise penalized.

• Reporting User Behavior: You can also report a user for inappropriate behavior (even if it isn’t tied to a specific post). Investigations on these reports may lead to restrictions on the user’s account (such as limiting certain features) or, in severe or repeat cases, suspension of the account. Repeat offenders or egregious violations can result in a permanent ban of the user’s account.

• Blocking: In addition to reporting, you have the ability to block other users. If you block someone, neither you nor the blocked user will be able to see or interact with each other’s content. We encourage you to use the block feature to avoid unwanted interactions – for instance, if another user is bothering you but not technically breaking the rules, it’s best to block them to prevent further contact.

• Consequences for Violations: We take violations of these guidelines seriously. Content that breaks the rules will be removed, and the user responsible may receive a warning. Depending on the severity of the violation (and whether it’s a repeat offense), Memery may also temporarily suspend your account or specific app features, or impose a permanent account ban in our discretion. Memery reserves the right to remove content or disable accounts at any time, at our sole discretion, for any reason. Our goal is to protect the community, and we will act accordingly when these guidelines are breached.

Privacy and Security

• Respect Privacy: Do not share someone else’s private or confidential information without permission. This includes personal data such as another person’s address, phone number, email, financial information, or other sensitive details. Doxxing (exposing someone’s personal information) or otherwise violating someone’s privacy will result in content removal and possibly further action.

• Secure Your Account: Protect your account credentials. Never share your password or login access with others, and do not allow anyone else to use your account. You are responsible for all activity on your account, so use a strong password and keep it confidential. If you suspect unauthorized use of your account, notify us immediately so we can help secure it.

Positive Engagement

• Be Supportive: Keep Memery a positive space. Encourage and support your fellow users, celebrate their creativity, and be constructive in your comments. A little positivity goes a long way in building a friendly community.

• Share Constructive Content: Aim to post and share content that adds value and fosters fun, positive interactions. Whether you’re creating memes, playing games, or chatting, contribute in ways that uplift others and make the community enjoyable for everyone.

Intellectual Property

• Respect Intellectual Property: Only post content that you have the rights or permission to share. Do not upload or use content (images, videos, music, text, etc.) that infringes someone else’s copyrights, trademarks, or other IP rights. If you’re using someone else’s work (for example, a clip of a song or an image), ensure you have permission or it falls under fair use. We promptly remove content reported for IP infringement and may disable the accounts of repeat infringers.

Legal Compliance

• Follow the Law: You may not use Memery for any unlawful purpose or to promote illegal activities. This means no organizing or encouraging crimes, buying or selling illegal drugs or weapons, sharing child sexual abuse material, or any other activity that breaks the law. We may suspend or ban accounts involved in criminal behavior and will cooperate with law enforcement authorities as needed. In serious cases (for instance, content exploiting minors or credible threats of violence), we will report the matter to law enforcement immediately.
